I need an easy program that simply allows me to insert the names of my family members, to create a family tree. Has to be able to start with my great grandparents. I am unable to work my powerpoint template, because the boxes just go all over the place, when I add additional boxes. I need this for a school project and I have searched google, but I have not found a viable site.
Are There Any Programs To Create A Family Tree?

yes, there’s a couple I know. the first one is GRAMPS (http://www.gramps-project.org/), an open source one. Another I know is online service called Geni (www.geni.com) what’s cool about geni is also a social networking web apps, therefore family members with web access could add their own family to the tree.
February 6th, 2010 at 2:45 amYou can try Genealogy Data Communication (GEDCOM). It is a standard file format that most of today’s genealogy software is able to read. GEDCOM enables you to take your family tree and convert it to text format, thus enabling you to share your family tree information with other genealogists and upload any GEDCOM family tree to the family tree software of your choice. It was developed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. To learn more about GEDCOM you could visit:http://www.tribaljunction.com/creating-f…
